We’re excited to announce that Vtiger Open Source 8.3.0 released today.
This release focused on two key aspects:
- PHP Strict Compliance: We have enhanced our codebase to ensure strict compliance with PHP standards, helping to improve performance and maintainability.
- Google OAuth2 for IMAP and SMTP: In light of Google’s upcoming sunsetting of password-based access for IMAP and SMTP (effective September 30, 2024), we’ve implemented an OAuth-based approach in the latest master branch. This change will ensure continued secure access to Google services. See issue #1914
