The world during 2026…

Increasing division, bad news, AI job replacement, economic gloom… How to cheer yourself up without turning to drink, drugs or rock’n’roll (if you haven’t already that is).

We all know that too much blue screen light is bad for your sleep, too much doom scrolling, negative news, divisive social media content are all bad for your mental well-being and excessive screen time ruins your physical health.

One easy thing that you can do however, to help cope a little better with the current pressures of life, is to surround yourself with really good people.

People are what really makes life worthwhile. Go to any elderly care home, the currency there is relationships – career, wealth, status are all meaningless and surveys show that ultimately good relationships are what make a “good life”.

My wife and I were graciously invited to a business colleague’s daughter’s wedding in Bangalore in January 2025 in India. (Which was an amazing experience).

So we naturally visited Vtiger whilst we were there and it brought a really important thing home to me. Working alongside people who hold the same values, are open, friendly and fun makes work so much more enjoyable and rewarding.

I already knew they were a great company, I have been dealing with them since 2007 and have met a couple of their staff in-person before. I regularly speak with them to discuss customer queries and to talk about their latest products and business developments. Responsive, responsible and genuine; their staff are even more delightful in person. My wife and I were treated with huge kindness, ferried about in their private cars, invited to their homes, huge help was given with our onward travel plans and we were sent off with armfuls of local gifts. Their 2025 round up is a testament to the type of company they are.

If you choose your suppliers carefully – companies like Vtiger (and their partner Libertus of course) – you’ll not only benefit from their expert knowledge and great products, but you’ll also form new relationships with people who’ll add an extra layer of richness and interest to your life. (Just ask me about chillies and their cultivation).

Life is all about the people in it…
